So strictly theory. You win the lottery and build a custom house with an ~1900 tank (divides a living room and dining room at 16'x4'x4'). Assuming a massive sump with plants to remove nitrates and an auto-change water system (aka water quality is not a problem), what do you stock? Here's my imaginary stock list...

Vieja/paratheraps
- Briedohri
- Sympila/Melarerus
- Argentinia
- Heterospila
- Regani
- Zotanus
- Maculicauda

Oscars
Andinoacara rivulatus/stalsbergi
Pearsei
hoplarchus psittacus
hypselecara temporalis
herichthys sp (like deppii maybe?)

And I'm sure I've missed many others. Anyone see problems with this list? Again, what's on your list?

i'm looking into a tank that size for my aggressive CA/SA community, led by the Dovii and my other bruisers. Gotta do something similar to thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter 's tanks - i got a LOT of catfish and a LOT of Cichlids that get big.....fortunately most of them do NOT have a nasty disposition. I got lucky on that one - only 2 of mine really have bad attitudes

i guess they're like dogs - gotta socialize them while they're young

This is in the cichlid bit so I assume its a dream cichlid stock list... I don't think I have a dream cichlid, it's always changing :D

However I would have LOVED a tank like that for Horrace (geophagus brasiliensis) when I had him :( A nice group of silver dollars, and maybe even a "Helga" for him... he would of loved that. :(

However - if I could change the footprint measurements to metres and not have cichlids... :D

Oh ya, forgot brasiliensis as well as a nice pike cichlid...

I wouldnt get any Central Americans, most likely all South American monsters.
