owners manual or repair manual?

It might be a good idea to go to the local parts store and pick up a repair manual. It'll tell you more than the owners manual, and cost about $20

^^^ I agree.. Some of the dealer manuals some people will put online in pdf form, but best just to run to the auto parts store and get a repair manual.

Also if it's a simple question and you can't get ahold of the manual try searching it on google or something. Sometimes owners of same make/model have had the same questions and got them answered.

go to any auto store look for a Hanes manual, better then anything youll find on the internet, for 20 bucks you cant go wrong, i must have 12 of them liein around my house

If you don't have any luck, I have a 1998 Frontier King Cab XE 4x4 w/ the KA24DE engine and can look it up for you.

Mine's a 5-speed manual. The 4-cylinder 4x4s were only available with a manual, but you could get the 2WD 4-cylinders with either MT or AT. I have 180K miles on mine. I've had it since it had 12K miles in 1999. No mods except for KYB Gas-A-Just shocks, a custom exhaust w/ a Flowmaster Import 60 muffler, camper shell, and tow hitch. I'm also running 30 x 9.5 all-terrains rather than the 235/70R15 tires that came stock.
