There are some cool dimentions that should be made. It would be cheaper beacause it is less gallons and can have a simaler stock as a larger tank.

There should be an 85 gallon 48Lx24Wx17Tall, just like a 120 but shorter. With good filtration you could have some real monsters in a tank like that. There should also be a 84Lx24Wx17Tall only 150 gallons and is very deep. A lot of big fish don't need hight, just depth and length and of course a little bit of hight. A 48Lx16Wx17Tall would be a good 55, I think big fish like Oscar could live in those 55 dimentions with good filtration! A 42Lx24Wx17 tall would be good for fish like oscars beacause the depth and it is inbetween 3 and 4 feet witch shoukld be a good amout of room for large fish, 17 inches tall should be okay for bigt fish, I think a fish would be so happy in a deep tank that it would not care about hight! Post some dream dimentions!

I had a tank that I enjoyed until I got my 210g. It was a Marineland 120g with a 60x18 footprint and 26" tall. At the time I got it a 4ft tank was too short for the spot and a 6ft was too long, so this turned out to be the perfect tank for the time. I later found a way to move furniture around and bring in a 6ft tank!

Never knew those were made. I wish they made glass versions that are redily availible beacause acrylic is twice the price.

Mike your footprint is awesome, what do you keep in there? would make a really cool biotope for cichlids or even a south american amazon tank. not to mention a kick ass marine set up!

That is why you should go custom. If my door were more than 3' wider, I'd have something custom-made 3' wide but sadly it is a standard 35". In fish keeping, most fishes will be more of a footprint thing than of depth. This way you can keep a wider variety. Mine is made of glass but is 530lbs heavy but very scratch-resistant. Cost me 250$ for the aquarium alone (glass, labor and all) and another 200$ for the stainless steel table that has 2" diameter frame. Don't worry, for your next projects, you can experiment with custom-made tanks.
