I go to open my window today and there's a fence lizard sitting on the window sill behind the curtain! 1) How did he he get in my bedroom ? (the window has a tight screen on it) 2) How do I catch him to get him out of my room? He's too fast! I'm not worried about him biting me, but I don't want him dieing in some out of the way place and smelling up my room!

Fence lizards can be easily caught with a green piece of oat grass. Peel off all the oats, and make a noose at the end. Move up to him slowly and slip the noose over his neck. Tighten, and you have a lizard on a leash. I catch them all the time out on my place. I mark them with paint and let them go...then I can tell them apart. They don't run from the grass and you can slowly put it around his neck. Once you have him on the leash you can grab him with your other hand. They don't bite.

Hi,it happened a few times to me,dont worry about it, sooner or later it will reappear,and you will be able to catch it and free it.
If you don't have any fresh oat grass, try a small piece of fishing line on the end of stick...tie the noose at the loose end of the line, slip it over his neck and tighten. He won't run from the line/stick if you move it slowly
First. seal off your room so it can't get to the rest of the house. Second. get your net/box/catching device ready. Third. Get some bait. Sit on your chair and wait for it to come out and take the bait.
