No, to answer. I don't have my 150 up and running because there's a 2-3 foot Bullsnake in it. They are not venomous, but they bite. No one will go near the snake. I want my darn tank. My Fish wants his tank, but I have to do something with this darn snake.

I can't turn it loose, it's the middle of the snowy winter and down to 12 degrees at night. This is rediculous.

Then I'll have a snake dirty tank, so I'm going to need to wash and bleach and rinse this 150 gallon beast and it's so cold it will freeze and break outside. It won't fit in my bathtub. (No hoses, all rolled up and water pipes are off outside too) so how? sorry no garage, only 100 year old barns

This tank changing stuff is winging monkey wrenches at me from every direction. And now my "roommate" (anyone catch the demotion from boyfriend there?) did a canister filter cleaning, for which normally he gets kudos, so I needed and have been greedily brewing the superload of good bacteria to transfer up and triple the tank size. I did a 50% water change the day before. So when he said "I washed out the canister", I went psycho female. Oh Geez I'm gonna kill somthing or someone!

Good news, there was still enough good bacteria and my water params are good. Ahhhhhhhh what will tomorrow bring?:nutkick:

maybe you could call a local pet store to see if they will take it off your hands , If its not a wild cought snake I wouldnt let it go and most pet shop sell a disinfectant that can be sprayed on and whiped off so you dont have to worry about the colde and moving it

It is wild, probably illegal. No I didn't put it there. I'm not getting near that thing. It's too snowy to release it. ahhhhh

Whoooooo Hoooooo!!! ROAD TRIP is in order!!...
I'll get the picnic basket BooBoo...now where did I put those hand prints?!!:D :screwy: :naughty:

i used to catch bull snakes all the time as a kid. their not that bad, yes they do bite but rarely hard enough to break skin, more like a sandpaper bite.If you wore rubber gloves theres no way the teeth would go through it.
why dont you buy a large rubbermaid container from wally world to keep it in until spring.

If you have to pick it up, just put a pillow case over your(or your "roommates") hand, and grab it. At that size the teeth are too small to go though the fabric.

If your worried about it biting you use garden gloves. FYI they have NO FANGs. The make alot of noise but are harmless. If your worried about it transfer him to a small tank.

I really wouldnt worry about bleaching the tank, it's just a snake :screwy:. and last I heard they dont carry Bubonic plague
