To mix salt...
I've done the bucket and water thing, but do any of you have any tricks to mixing large quantities of salt for your aquariums? I was thinking maybe some kind of hose attachment thing (cause I use the hose to fill the tank) with the salt in it, kind of like the Miracle-Grow water and feed mixer, only using the salt mix instead.
This is mostly for the initial fill/cycle process. my tank is 110gal and it is gonna take a really long time to mix that much saltwater using a 5gal bucket.
Just wondering if any of you have come up with an ingenious solution to fill/mix salt at the same time.

Initial setup just dump the required salt in the tank and add water. Then a pump for circulation.

For large water changes I use to us a 55 gallon round rubbermaid trashcan and a mag 9.5 to mix and circulate the water. Then while the pump is going I just dump in a 50 gallon bag of salt. Stuff is ready the next day.

yeah i agree totally with him, that sounds like a really good way to go.

For the initial fill up I just dump the required amount of salt into a cpl of buckets then add to the tank as it fills up using a powerhead to circulate.
