I came home today and realized that my thermometer in my 125 was broken. The bottom was broken off, and all those little balls in the bottom of the thermometer fell out. The "balls" are small, and they fell through the holes in my gravel. They are so small that I don't think I would be able to get them out. I wouldn't even be able to find them.

Is this bad???

you may see rust in the gravel if they were iron baced metals. make sure none of the liquid came out tho that stuff is bad for fish.

i would do a big water change and get a big net and around the area of the balls would have sunk just net everything there and clean it through or chuck it

Hate when that happens, Siphon out all the gravel in that area of the tank, all the way to the glass. You can most of the little balls out this way.

I remember a certain somebody leaving them in for a while, thinking they were eggs... didn't do much harm lol.

mine cracked and i didnt notice anything bad happen at all.i just picked out the glass as much as possible along with the little beads.
