My husband is incubating some stick insect ova, and is having trouble keeping the temp between the required 72-75*F. Is there a good, but decently priced, thermostat? I've been looking at Zoo Med's Repti Temp 500R Thermostat, but it doesn't look like I can set a specific temp with it. Thoughts? Advice? Thanks!

I have a 500R and I wouldn't recommend one for your application. You can set one to a specific temperature, but you need to use a thermometer to figure out exactly what that temperature happens to be as the control dial is one of those yellow-to-red indicators like you'd expect to find on a rheostat. Additionally, 70* is pretty close to the low end of the dial and I don't think that mine will shut off at that low of a temperature. Mine definitely does a better job of regulating temps in the 80*s+ then it does the 70*s.

Wish I could recommend a unit but I typically wire up my own thermostats usings components designed for home AC systems. It doesn't save me any time or money, but replacement parts are just a home improvement store away.
