I am wanting to get a Thermostatic Mixing Valve so I can have the water I use to fill my tanks during water changes set to 74-76F and I was wondering if anyone has experience using these and if so do you have any ones you would recommend?

One of the better purchases to jump on in this hobby. It works flawlessly and is a quality unit. Honeywell model AM100C or you can google UPC code: 085267185929

JK47 JK47 is there specific name for the blue, red and white tubing you have? I’m guessing you have to buy that separately from the mixing valve. Aside from lining a line from your hot water heater, are there any other considerations?

Those lines are called PEX. It takes a specific tool to crimp the lines onto the fittings. A quality ball valve is really the only other thing you should need to consider. Otherwise pretty straight forward

Awesome. I am going to be getting a plumber to help with running a line from the hot water heater, so I will probably just have him help out with this.

luckily where my fish room is the water heater is right there in the open so I can mount it right at the water heater

That valve is about 18” away from my hot water tank too. It’s nice having it close like that. Post up you setup when you finish it. Would love to see what others are doing with theirs
