Actually they are genetically modified fish, they aren't the dyed type.

They look smart but it does raise a question obviously not a natural colour so is it cruel to gm a fish for it looks??

Does it happen to more common fish that we are unaware of.

Since you need some biogenetics expertise to accomplish this, i doubt it's been done to more common fish. When these people did this, it was in the news a couple of years ago.

Doesn't seem cruel to me. I've seen them in person, and they look healthy.
