A word of caution to those that power feed for growth, while I have no inherent problem with this per say, I'll pass along a word of warning. I lost a prize fish a while back, and I know it's do to feeding the wrong level of proteins and other ingredients to quickly in too large amounts. I was power feeding for size, which works, but can kill due to what I can only surmise (I'm no fish doctor) as being a fatty liver. I kick myself for not gowing the slow but sure route to massive size by feeding moderate to large amounts of species specific foods, vs power feeding that food which I viewed as being those which would bring about the most size increase in the shortest time.

Fatty liver. It's an issue that affects all fish keepers I think in general, no matter the fish we keep? No?..

I tell you, my stupidity knows no bounds when it comes to the things I do wrong in this hobby. :)

sorry about your fish :/ i try not to power feed and i also dont feed every day, i do one large meal every other day for the big boys and i feed small meals ever day to the little guys
