I can wait to share this with all of you guys !!!!
Tomorrow come home my new couple: 26cm male Motoro and 22cm female Hystrix. Both of them come from a friends tank who bought them in Switzerland maybe a year ago. They´re going to be in a 150x60x60 tank with a silver aro for a few months (maybe till end of this year). Im looking for god deal on a 2000-4000Lt plastic tube/deposit. Then they´ll share this tank with my Retic couple (once they´re mature and big enough to be with them), and the aro of course. Now retics are getting fat day to day, once they reach the fat shape i´ll start a new feeding schedule: 2 days food/one blank and a little less food. By now retics are eating only live tubifex wich they´re not gonna eat anymore once they get a good shape (they came home really skinny). Motoro and Hystrix are eating frozen freshwater fish from supermarket, earthworms and live shrimps/crabs. All of them are gonna get once a week Mazuri vitamin suplement.

do you have any pix of them? im woundering if its a true brazillian hystrix, if ur friend got it about a year ago then it might not be a true hystrix, lets see some pix
 
I bet they are real Hystrix.. Ernesto knows his stuff and wouldn't run his mouth just for bragging rights :D

It is a real hystrix, i´ve seen pictures and my friend is the only other serious stingray keeper in Spain. As Miles said i know my stuf ;)
I really want to take some decent pics of them. The "marble" thing on motoros i´think is just a way to get more money from your pockets ´cause they are a nominal motoro a little bit darker and more orange on spots.....am i right?
 
i think that its really great when people actually KNOW what they are talking about instead of pretending to get rare fish for cheap well done ernesto, i salute thee!

alright... yea they are by the pix, but as u know... people seem to claim them brown peru rays as hystrix ... all the time :grinno:
