thanks. they were in the tank only 5-10mins for these pics. i will get some others after they settle in. i was just so pumped to get these in i had to get the word out! i have had the floridas for a while now. i got those when they were only a few inches long. i just got back from the airport right before i took the pics of the new ones.
thanks ryan, i really like the well defined spotted ones also. this last few weeks have been the longest time frame i have ever spent waiting to get some fish. now that i finally got these cubans i feel so happy and the pressure is off. that is till tax time...
these bring my collection close to complete. i now have cubans, floridas, shortnose and longnose. will be getting trops soon and looking for spotted. then that will just leave the gator to get(not including hybrids).
great job man, nice fish! those have to be some of the smallest CBGs i have ever seen! probably right around the size (if not a bit smaller) than the 2007 import. i would watch those tankmate gars as they won't hesitate to eat them given that size discrepancy...you don't want expensive feeders!
be sure to maintain stable pH, and i find the aragonite cichlid sand to be best for that. get them eating soon (usually rosies or the like are good to bulk up/start up) and growing and they will reach more stable size for you. best of luck!--
