Lepomis do grow fast, my female green has gone from 1.5" to 5" in less than a year. Your guy needs a few friends :). How's your plans for that 310 going?

Nice! I miss my pumpkin seed so much :( that guy lived for 8+ years and was blind since the day i got him. Best fish I ever had!

Nice! Mine I got at around 1.5" is now around 7", they look amazig after they reach 5".

Haha I tried giving him friends! He flares and charges everything except my redfin pickerel! hahaha. He's getting dumped into the 310 here shortly...I'm letting the bullhead and channel cats settle and the school of perch, crappie and 1 bluegill get used to it before he goes in..i have a feeling he's gonna try to throw his weight around with the perch which are already 2-3" larger than he is haha. Oh, by the way, 310 is up and running hahaha

They are amazing fish! He begs and follows me, knows when hes getting fed, takes hand fed items, they truly are amazing fish! That's awesome you took care of a blind fish for 8 years! that's dedication!

Tell me about it! My pics suck terribly but he has electric blue facial markings 24/7, and his body contrast is always awesome!

you able to get the pickerel off live?

No...not yet. truthfully I haven't honestly tried because I've had him quite a while and I was deadest on feeding live exclusively....then he developed a fungus so horrendous not even satan himself would have wished this plague on someone, which he had for close to 5 months, now I'm so meticulous in my feeder decontamination and am slowly weaning him off them into a starve period and then I'll try prepared foods. My florida gar just broke and are now taking tilapia so I know theres hope.

I didn't know you had gar dude, that's awesome! Awesome fish and three huge native tanks, you're living the dream bro! Hopefully my fish room will be up soon but I can't afford that size, I'm going with two 75s and a 125.

haha yup, 40B darter comm. with a few other things thrown in there, my coosae bass growout included, 55 pickerel/pumpkinseed tank, and the 310 hahaha. The gar are currently hanging out in the 150 African/Asian tank, until they put on some size and join the 310. They are probably one of my favorite fish to be quite honest.
