And they won't stop. I thought it was cool when my mystery snails laid their first batch. They hatched and I got about 45 babies running around now. Then they laid a second batch. That was ok, not so cool. NOW I have batch #3 on the wall at the same time as #2 !!! I have no clue what to do with so many. How do people have these snails that don't breed? Any way to make them stop this? And by the way, if anyone is near by, feel free to pm me about getting some free ones in about a month (they don't grow terribly fast).

I was honestly wondering if I added my male betta, maybe he would harass them enough into not breeding. Hopefully he would even eat a few of the small ones. But I'm not sure if her would leave the little fishes alone.

That was another option. I have a small 1.5 inch CL in my main tank. The snail tank is only 36 gallons, but I suppose if it's only temporary, it couldn't hurt the loach too badly, could it?

I've been waiting for mine to start, lucky you. if you don't want any more, just toss the eggs into the water in your main tank, they should get eaten up pretty quick.

Simple solution: remove the eggs when you see them. Throw them away or something. As for the ones you have, sell them on here or Aquabid for some extra cash or just use them as feeders.

I feel bad about removing the eggs. But I have to, I had 5 clutches sitting there at once. I'm dropping them into my cichlid tank (they're loving it). I just wish there was a way to stop them from laying (at least so many at once). I found a few people that want to take a couple snails off me once they get big enough, but that only gets rid of 8. I'll try out the selling forum once they get large enough to be certain of their colors, and get better pictures.
