But a mm or two pr. year aint much......
 
As anders correctly points out, growth slows significantly at a certain point in the animal's life, making growth beyond that point virtually unnoticeable. If you have a ray that has reached a 30" disk diameter, you probably won't notice a mm or two in the following year.
 
ive been shown some pictures of very old rays and they are massive... so they yea they never really stop it just slows down at certain points..
