I have noticed all the aquarium pictures that are posted in this forum that most tanks have placed very thin layer of gravel and some don't even have any gravel at the bottom of the tank. I would like to know which would be better, thick or thin layer of gravel?

Thank you.

A thin layer of gravel is easier to clean... and for that same reason, bare-bottom is even easier... especially if you have a high bio-load.
