Thin Bar Datnoid Enviroment Question?

Would thin bars like caves? like a rock/pot cave or would they prefer a driftwood enviroment? also what are there max size?Cause I might pick up 2 this coming weekend

12" is biggest(takes many years) i kept mine with no hides pretty much bare tank with light on timer... then the tank they were in had ghetto cave and drift wood after they were stable or in main tank( pending on size) with my rays in bare tank...

Thin bars tend to be the most shy and love hiding places. My thins prefered driftwood.

I agree with the above statements. They would like hiding spots, but you are likely to see less of them if you give them some. I try to use drift wood more and smooth rocks, to prevent cuts.

You can expect 12" as the max, I think there has been 2 people on this forum that have had 13" NTT's.

get some hiding spots for them.when they have a lot of hiding spots they tend to come out more.

NTT's thin bars behave differently from IT's, NTT's are rather shy while IT's can be pretty bold.
