somwhere
I got a 7in thin bar on saturday and he has yet to eat. He was almost all black when I picked him up (stress?) and hes turning more yellow by the day. He does hide in a clay pot all day long. Are there any feeding stratagies that I could use? The previous owner said he eats shrimp but he hasnt eaten any yet.

small q'd feeders.

I starved my 4" thin bar for 16 days before he took his first bite of market shrimps.. they will live without food for awhile..

I recommend no feeder tho.

My two thin bars that I picked up three months ago are just now getting comfortable coming out and begging for food. I didnt have any issues with feedings though, but give yours some time, subdue the lighting and drop the food where he is hiding. He will come around, they can be a real sissy's sometimes.

Yeah, it should be fine. It really hasn't been that long. Odds are he is still just settling in. I'd try what rally suggested though and throw in some smaller, quarantined feeders just to get him eating. Then after he takes some of those, I'd work on getting him on shrimp. GL
