My 1.5 inch thinbar dat was eating live blackworms until just a few days ago. Now he hides in a PVC pipe all day and doesn't eat the blackworms I give him (I use a turkey baster and shoot them right at him). He doesn't eat any other foods either. I tried giving him frozen bloodworms, pellets, and nothing works. I've had him about 2 weeks now.

The thing is he still has a good golden color. I thought unstable dats would turn black but mine has been golden since the 2nd day he's been in my tank.

Any ideas as to what I can do to help him?

Have u checked your water parameters? Any tankmates that are stressing him out? As for your small dat hiding that's pretty much expected. I have a 100g tank with 2 5" NTT, 1 2"NTT, 3 3" AT, and 3 3" NGT's and you pretty much dont see them unless its feeding time or the lights are off. I would suggest you check your water first and if its fine then try to keep the lights off and not feed it for a day or two. small dats require much patience

I second that... I have 5 5inch STs in a 220G and yeah... light off or feeding is when I see em... pisses me off.

Tiger will eat when hungry again. Maybe another 2 weeks at least .
If u give them hiding spaces, they will always hide.
