This kamalau that I thought was a male is starting to look like a female..
See the tube in the photo?
I think it has the hots for this fenestratus but I'm not sure on the sex of this either.
Do you think they would make interesting babies? If they are planning on breeding in this tank at the moment they're going to be really stressed out and it won't be a success. There are 5x 5" red tail botia that will eat any eggs as soon as they're laid. I'd have to move them to their own tank if I actually want to breed them but that would be a lot of shuffling around right now. Is it worth it?
my lightest base color kamalau
I think this one is male for sure.
kamalau with biggest flowerline
keeping my fingers crossed that this one is a female
maybe a pair?
and I don't even care if they are brother and sister.. They will make good babies.
one of red dragon/fader kamfa fry
looks promising to me. The rest have a darker red and thicker flowerlines. They kind of look like a really nice zz. I think they will all turn out nice.
One of my 9 red monkeys.
They don't look like much now at 2.5-3" but you'll be amazed later.
and the hardest fish to photograph
my red texas. I have high hopes for this one just because of his pattern and pearls. He was dark green when I got him I was wondering if he would even fade but he has already started changing colors. He is a maniac which is why I can never get any pictures of him. He runs the tank with 3 kamfa flowerhorns, and 2 other red texas. You can see him flairing in the photo he is an absolute beast. I think this fish may grow into be my favorite if he maintains that personality and continues to look nicer every day.
and my first flowerhorn that I ever bought is finally putting on some size. It's maybe 8" now.
has the weakest fins ever but it was nice for something I got locally for $10.
I also got a box full of these on my porch Wednesday morning.
I always thought they were awesome but never cared to own one because of the pricetag. Found a good deal on them though. They aren't even an inch yet but they're awesome already.
I had a second failed breeding between my thai silk and my red dragon that decided to pair up. This time I had them in their own tank though. The thai silk is only about 4" so I'm not sure if he's too young or infertile or what. I didn't see him fertilize the eggs so I'm not sure if he even tried. I'm not giving up on him yet and since the pair gets along so well I'm going to let them go at it a few more times.
thats about it for now
