Things to look for ??? acrylic help!!

Bowing, cracks, scratches, seams, and just the overall craftsmanship. Do you know what company made it?
Price sounds very good as long as it's not too scratched up and holds water! see 55g setups on CL round here for that price.
Minor scratches can be easily polished out, deep gouges are another story. Make sure none of the glued joints have separated. Check for leaks. I have seen a few acrylic aquariums that would be very difficult to clean/service inside because of the top bracing design, make sure you are comfortable with this.
$400 sounds like a great price. I paid $100 for my acrylic 210g, tank only, a lot of minor scratching, the back wall was separated from the top bracing and I bought it not knowing if it would hold water.
