Things you just missed?

I was driving yesterday, and saw a fishtank and a metal stand on the side of the road, next to a trailer full of birdcages. I stopped and asked if it was free or for sale. The woman told me that someone was supposed to pick the tank up tomorrow. I asked her what she was getting for it. She said $40 and I offered her $50 and said I would take it right now. She didn't go for it, so I left my number if he didn't show up. I only offered $50 because that was all I had on me. That would have been a good price for a 125 with a stand right?

great price! too bad you only had fifty though.... I would have given 100 for it and still saw it as a good deal

If I had $100, I wouldn't have offered $50, and I would probably have the tank. The only way the other guy won't show up, is if he is a total moron.

I also missed out on a free fishtank coffee table by less than 10 minutes, and a decent 58 Cadillac for $700.

That sucks! I got a call from the woman with the tank, the other guy never showed. It is in the back of my van right now. WOOOO HOOOO
