My clown knife got stuck in the only rock structure I have in my tank. I had to get him free by hand. This is what he looks like now. do you think he will be ok? Is there anything I can do to help him heal?

how much salt do you say I add. I have a 125 gallon tank. Also I have never used melafix. What will it do for him. Is it just a preventative thing?
aquarium salt directions on the box for use as a general tonic are I think one table spoon for every 10 gallons, but double check that. I think he will make it.
Melafix is a preventive. IF he gets an infection, you will need something like Maracyn. Just keep the water clean and limit any stress, and it should heal. If you decide to treat him with anything, I suggest doing it in another tank.

OK, good to know. The scrapes look pretty bad in person. I just added some salt at a rate of 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. I will keep an eye on him and keep this updated. Thanks again!
Just an update on my clown knife. He looks like he will fully heal from this. I added salt to the tank as a general tonic and then made sure he was well fed the last few weeks. Here is a updated pic. Sorry for the low quality.
