I will be getting a 150g and wont be setting it up for a couple months but just trying to figure out the stock list.

Do you think I could get away with a manaquesne, red devil and a buttikoferi? I would try to grow them all out together to keep them somewhat used to tankmates.

If not, I think 2 of those fish would do alright right?

Thanks in advance.

Wrong sub forum, sorry. If someone can move for me thanks.

I would fear the tilapia.

The other two may work ( I have such a mix ) but I would ad more fish to promote traffic and a lot of hiding spots

i agree the buttikoferi will have to go at some point they are super aggresive.... jag and devil might work it all comes down to individual personality..

I really think it could work.

I know i would have awhile till they are full grown, but what would be a good schooling dither? I might also add some bichirs.

its so hard to say. i had in my 180 gallon a festae, jag, butti blue moorii 4 bichirs. they where all pretty much full grown and it worked for me for a couple yrs then the butti started to get to mean. he didnt go and start killing fish but he started picking on them one at a time so i removed him before anything could happen. tank is back in harmony. now i currently have jag festae argentae and carpintis with the blue moorii and bichirs. so far so good. all you can really do is try and remove a mean fish when needed. i have seen people have success with the red devil but everyone i have ever owned always wanted to start a fight right away so i tend to stay away from them.
