So they are all still small but these 2 have grown faster and when i came home yesterday from my honeymoon i noticed the huge change in their colors. The 3 incher grew faster than all as im positive its a male. The the other is just smaller then the male and i believe its a female....Its hard to see but the one i believe to be the female has a more yellow body color and these 2 are the only ones colored up and they do swim together and chase the other tankmates together

I can't really see the second one so it's hard to tell. But the first one sure looks male. It's got that nice green on the face, however Festae are notorious for being misleading with their coloring between young females and males. At 3 inches you could always vent them and see. I have 5 small Festae each about 1 and a 1/2 inches each. I see some of them grouping in twos and harassing each other, but the pairings always change up the next day.

Festae that young can be sexually misleading and quite temperamental, one day friends and the next enemies. Only time will tell if you have a forming pair or not. BTW congrats on the wedding! I hope you have many, many years of happiness with your wife.

Yeah there is no telling still at this point. With Festae you dont have a pair until they spawn. You might have a male and female but not a pair. Let them be and two might pair up...then you will know.
