Acrylic 240 gallon tank. Looks like it was dropped pretty good. I'm wondering if I get maybe a 6" long 1" X 1" piece of acrylic and weld it over the broken spot inside the thank and then fill in behind it (outside the tank) with weldon 16 if it will hold water again...

Any thought on how this could be fixed?

I may just buy it for the acrylic (1/2") and cut it up and make a new tank?

Sounds reasonable to me.

Maybe a three way seam, for the corner join, would work as well.

I would just fix it. My 55G fell over and did the same thing. $5 in glue and a few acrylic scraps and I was in business.

Do the repair on the inside and cover with substrate...no one with be the wiser.
Don't cut it up, that would be a shame. Even if you bought it and had it professionally repaired it would be cheaper that a new 240 acrylic.
