I bought two Hillstream loaches (yay!!!) and seven very small Tiger Barbs to add to my 65 gallon tank. The Loaches came from an independently owned aquarium store who I am very familiar with and the Barbs came from Wal-Mart (mistake number one). Part two of the mistake is my own fault. A fish in another tank had a spot of ick on his tail and even though I knew that the water in all of the aquariums is shared I somehow did not think that the Tiger Barbs could be infected. I have seen at least two of my fish scratching. I had to dig all of my Assassin snails out of the tank so they wouldn't get killed from the medication (no easy task in a 65 gallon) and am now treating my tank. Grrrr... Lesson Learned. Think Twice before buying.

i recently had the same problem my 50g got ich and it killed everything in my tank excpet my rope am still in the process of treating
