Thinkin' about a payara

Can a red-tailed payara (H. tatauaia) or H. scomberoides be housed for life in a 75 gallon tank?

Can I house one in a 90 gallon tank? Isn't H. tatauia supposed to reach about 10 inches in length?

Tats get bigger than that, there are some pictures on the web of some big ones. In an aquarium I would recommend something 2' wide for an adult, as they should get at least a foot.

H. scomberoides would be fine for life though.
