im thinkin bout gettin a stingray or two depend if i get the tank i want. whats the price range on some of these rays?.. i went to the lfs and they had two rays.. just plain colored light brown tannish.. not fully circular had a point towards the head. what kind is it? they were sellin for 130 a pop. i say it was bout 10" in diameter.

off topic kinda.. whats weird is that everytime i plan to get a fish and get one.. the little name above my avatar relates to it.. last time i got a gar.. my name was sumthin gar.. now im thinkin bout gettin a ray, its leopoldi ray. coincidence?

What you discribed for a ray, could be one of a number of rays. They range from $50 - $500+. Make sure you do a lot of research on your ray before getting one.

o, yea, if you are serious buy a big tank at least 2-3 ft wide. then in a cpl of months after cycling the tank, come back and research. my biggest mistake was settling for a 100 gal, you need at least 120-180. most people here have out of this world aquariums! but the bigger the better

def. dont just jump in. i did that and lost 2 retics in a 125. i have since upgraded and plan to upgrade again by the summer. and get that barrons stingray book. it's on here: www.aquascapeonline.com

definately a great book. has a lot of good information in. its a waste of money with these fish if you dont know what your doing

Aside from doing some ray research, do some checking on Texas laws. FW rays are on the state's restricted species list. There's nothing like living in a southern state.
