Well, gar is pretty much what got me into monsterfishkeepers(ing)! At the time I had 3 floridas in a 60x128 120g tank and didn't feel that it was an appropriate home for them long term. Since then, I have upgraded to a 72x18 150 and my newest acqusition, my oh so prized 180. You may be some what biased, but should I get a couple Floridas? I'm still up in the air on stocking so I'm just trying to get some ideas.

Of course you should. You shouldnt have ever gotten rid of the other ones. Especially knowing i would have gladly taken them from you:irked:

Ricks is good :)

Best selection for gar since Pughs closed. Ricks has always been better but Pughs used to get really small gar in. God i missed that place:cry:

That fish place gets them, but thats rare.

And you always have the gar keepers friend, Snookn.

^^^^^True, I believe I boycotted Ricks. Too expensive and some misleading info given by arrogant employees! I'm a fan of Franklin Feed now. I'm sort of leary setting up this 180 in my house though. Just on water weight, the 180 will be 125.25lbs per sq ft. My 150 is 139.16lbs per sq ft. Both of them on the same floor is worrying me. Both tanks will be sitting perpendicular to the joists (which are 2x10's on 24" centers) and semi supported by a concrete wall. I don't know, we rent and I'm not sure. The tank is currently in mom's garage til I decide what to do
