Thinking about adding this UV, any thoughts?

As the title says I am thinking about adding this to my 315G, does anyone have any experience with this particular UV unit?

IIRC they are really *cheap* in quality. I got a Vorton from a LFS and put inline before the canister. Cut the algae down significantly. Been very happy with it. About all I'd go to Ebay for would be bulb replacements although I bought my original (second bulb in 3+ years) at the LFS for nearly $30.

I recently purchased an Odyssea 9w UV sterilizer to test it's strength plumbed inline to my FX5 on a 180gallon. Surprisingly enough, I've had zero leaking issues with the supplied plumbing/o-rings, and it appears my turtles/cichlids are flying around in crisp air. In other words- it's doing it's job, and quite well.

Well, I went ahead and bought one about 5 hours ago. I did a search online regarding that particular model and found a planted tank forum where several memebers had them and didn't have any complaints. Some of the other models (lower watts) have had terrible leaking issues. I'll post my findings.

Those are best with slower flow rates if you want a pathogen kill.
