Thinking about Asian or Silver Aro

So I'll be getting a new 6x2x2 very soon, can I get an Asian or Silver or is this tank too small, is an 8ft needed? I'd like to keep a Male Jag and Male JD in with it, is this possible?

What kind of size do the Asians get to in captivity and can it stay in the 6x2x2 for life?

yes it can stay in a 6x2x2 for life but in that tank it will only grow nearly the width of your tank so if you get an asian and keep it in there from juvi + then it will grow about 22-24''. if you get a 8x4x4 the asian can grow to 3 ft in captivity. thats the difference, silvers tend to grow longer so best bet for you is the asian

Thanks for the info guys, I'm hopefully about to pick up a 6.5x2x2 next weekend then I'll be doing my research and then looking for an Asian, I'll keep you updated

They are still quite expensive over here, maybe £200 for a 6" juvi with chip from what I can gather, does this sound about right?
