thinking about building a sump for a 125 gal

thinkin about buildin a sump for a 125 gal were do you start??? I know nothing about sumps ..any help would be greatly appreiated in advance... WendellM

Start with what kind of DIY sump? Wet/dry? Ceramic media (submerged)? This will dictate your design. Is the 125 drilled? Will you be using an overflow box? Will you be using a tank or rubbermaid container as a sump?

I'd look at something around 40g size to filter a 125g.

Agree with the above. Look at some designs and figure out which is most practical for you. Type of sump and overflow are your starting points.
