idk if i will be getting another tank or changing over my 20gal from fresh to salt...for this lets say change over my exsiting tank as that is the most likly to happen...i have a few questions...

1) would the emperor 280 be a good filter for it...as it is the filter that is on it now...

2) would sand that i got out of a local lake be ok or should i get diff...

3) i am mainly doing this for my kids to get a clown fish or 2, but i would like a gobie or more if possible...maybe a foo-man-choo lion fish also as i think they stay small...max sizes and ideas for stock and set ups for said fish, that being said the exp. i get i will use for my future big salt setup...

4) i have a sun plant light on the tank now would that work or do i need a new light

5) is there any eels that could work in this tank

6) what type of plants/anenimes should i get if any

thanx, i have been fish keeping all my life and salt is one of the few things i have left to do on my list of tank setups...i know vertualy nothing about saltwater and i have never seen the ocean so i would like to bring it to me...thanx again

any thoughts...i read some other posts and got some good info but i would like some more...

do it it is awsome to have the ocian in your hose the filter will work but i wuld get a skimmer or a powerhead as well especilay a power head if you plan on keeping coral or anemones cause they are filter feeders even then it is a good idea to spot feed them so you know they have food as for the sand buy live sand it is alot mor benifishal do to the fact it has bacteria alredy in it as for the light im not sur ive only keept coral and anenomes as well as a feweels so im not sure what all gets along with clowns exept mabe damsel fish hope i have helped some

for a 20 gallon I would do Just 2 clown fish a nice goby a few snails and maybe a brittle starfish.
4) i have a sun plant light on the tank now would that work or do i need a new light I would recommend a new light.

5) is there any eels that could work in this tank
No unless it was just the eel

6) what type of plants/anenimes should i get if any
depends on the lighting
