hello im thinking of getting a snakehead any tips?
any tips on size on the tank for him?
got a 256 gallon tank for my puffer any hints is apriciated /silver

arent all puffers brackish? snakeheads are very sensitive to salt. anyways, it depends what kind your getting. if its a rainbow snakehead, than it wont grow too big, but if its a redline or cobra, then u might need to upgrade in the future.

generaly puffers arnty good tankmates with anyhting ecceot maby a mubu. what kind of puffer do you have? also depends on the snakehead you plan on also theres lots of differewnt species

well im thinking about getting a new tank coz my fahaka puffer is so agressive :P
any nummbers on gallons? lx?Wx?hx? and lets say a big one :D for funzies

if you want a big one , you are talking micro marulia ( req, min 6ft x 3ft x 2ft ) for single fish, maruloids or straita or diplogramma or barca ( min 6ft x 2.5ft x 2ft ) for a single fish .

the main dimension for life is the front to back measurment , the tank should be at least the the same width as the fish is long and micro and marulia (the two biggest) will reach 3ft in aquaria , the others mentioned will all reach 2.5ft in aquaria and have the potential to reach 3ft.

if you wanted a few micros ( the big mean ones ) then you would req something along the lines of 10ft x 4ft x 4ft

cheers col
