I have a 120gal tank with some CA/SA cichlids (GT, Oscar). I am kind of having a problem with them being really messy eater and though i have a powerhead and fx5, theres still a lot of stuff getting to the bottom. I am curious if clown loaches would help keep it cleaner? Plus i love the way they look! any comments or insight would be appreciated!

Clown loaches are IMHO are the best cleaning crew, not only do they always go up in value, they are also effective in pest control as well. Snails in particular will never be a problem in a loach tank. However the only draw back to loaches are 1) they need at least 5 IMHO 2) Are a little rough on any live plants you might have. They are very peaceful, however they can be a little too playful and can really annoy other fish. My GT has no problem what so ever with the Clown loaches. Get them, you won't regret it.

clown loaches would be great, but make sure their not snack size for your other fish!

a fish that eats a clown loach usually doesn't do too well after. 80% of the time the loach with get eaten tail first because they are so fast... Fish just swallowed a steak full of shanks. Also Clown loachs have sub ocular spines.. Little daggers that pop out from underneath the eye. This fish is a minefield of pain.

get them now while they last at petsmart they are going for 4.45 each yup at 3 to 4 inches very nice ones I just pick up a few today going back for more when they get some in lol
