Out of the G/Vatf which is more skitish?
Who would you say is easier to get off live foods?

Are G's just as aggressive when eating like V's??

I know G's are alot harder to come by....at least from what i've seen. And also alot of times since its harder to tell when they are so small you could be deceived into buying one under the name of a GATF when its really not....so be careful. Both are rather skittish, not aggressive but still Predatory fish. And remember large aquariums are needed due to their bursts of speed they tend to do, which in a smaller aquarium could cause them to smash into the glass. Hope this helps....

I've owned VATF before, not GATF. Just trying to get some Pros and COns on the two (all except Tank size :))

goliaths are as aggro or more aggro in eating.
plus they get bigger.
they are wussies when young but when theyre bigger its different.
i think they are more skittish than vittatus until they get a bit bigger.
make sure your payara dont kill it.
they cost alot.
they dont have stripes unlike vittatus.

As far as looks, I can tell the diff between Vitattus and Goliath. Was just looking for some advise in feeding and aggression:)

Hi bro..please dun mislead other people if you never keep them before...

when young GATF cant really protect themself till about atleast 1ft in size..
as for VATF..it is much easier to keep them.

as for aggression...VATF will be more than GATF...till GATF gets bigger..

So would you say V's or G's die more for no reason??
Just had one of my Vittatus die for no reason :(
Don't want to spend a lot of money if they tend to die faster than VATFS.
Know what I mean

Yeah, when I went one time I seen the same... probly cause they do outnumber the GATF'S in the tank like 3 to 1

I dun think they die for no reason...how long you been keeping it...I kept it for a year plus seem alright...might be the feeder...or the water...

got once 4 days dun let them eat...then throw in feeder..only VATF go for the kill...as for GATF it seem like still thinking of something....but now as it grow bigger..it will eat...

That why i guess for the reason on..why armatus cannot put with GATF...
But I seen picture in mag.. both together armatus being 2ft and GATF abit bigger than it...if only i got a scanner i scan picture let you all see
