thinking about having a change round in my 180 gal. I really like the look of theraps lentiginosus and can get hold of them at the min, would a pair of these and maybe a pair of bocourti or Vieja fenestratus be ok

Theraps lentiginosus have been very non-aggressive for me, and I doubt the bocourti would take notice.
Can't speculate about the fenestratus.
They are rheophillic and appreciate lots of current, I had about 1000gph shooting lengthwise in a 150 gal tank for them.
They are fairly slow growers, and max out at only around 7", for the males.
Here are mine when I first got them, @ 1" Dec 2013

and a shot of the largest male, @ 5" August 2015

Thanks, didn't know about the current. don't think the bocouti would like that sort of current. maybe a pair with 6 pink tail chalceus, i think that would look good.
yours are very nice cheers for the pics.
