looks good too and found out it runs on 280 watts. also i have another danner and it works well. think i will go with this. thoughts?

Without knowing some details, it's impossible to give good advice.

1. How many GPH do you want to achieve?
2. How high up will the pump be pushing the water?
3. What size are your overflows?
4. Do you want a submersible or external pump?
4. What size tank is this for?

The Little Giant pump you referenced moves around 4,000GPH at 5' of head pressure. If this is for your 220G, that is crazy overkill and your overflows will probably not be able to handle that much flow.

I have had great luck with Little Giant pumps BUT:
That Little Giant pump is a direct drive pump. The advantage of a magnetic drive pump is thermal isolation. At 5/8hp that pump is huge by aquarium standards and will produce a lot of heat! Without the impeller being thermally isolated from the motor a lot of that heat is going to go into the water. This heat transfer is fine for an outdoor pond or water feature... BUT on a normal aquarium there is a high probability it will boil your fish! (Ask me how I know!!!)

i have about 6 foot of head and i have 2x 1" overflows.

It sounds like you scored a heck of a good deal. Is it in use yet? If so how do you like it so far? Are you running it submersed or external? Are the overflows keeping up with the pump?

With only two 1" overflows, I think you bought too much pump. The pump you bought should push around 3,600GPH at 6' head. Your drains will probably only flow 900GPH each (1,800GPH total). I'm guessing it's going to suck your sump dry (overflows will not be able to keep up), but hopefully I'm wrong.

we'll see, i havent goten it yet, still in transit. i have 2x3/4" extra over flow holes i can utilize that i have plugged up right now if the flow is too much but i doubt it will be enough to compenstate if the flow is too much, if it does come to that i'm just gona keep spliting the return pipes into multiple outlets to slow the flow down lol. this way i can decrease the flow but gain circulation.
