so i was thinking of setting up a 55-100 gallon tank in my basement for my native fish. i have some crappie, 2 sunnys, a small ock/shadow bass, and like 5 bullhead cats. keep in mind that all of these fish are under 8" and will be going into a pond so bear with me on this
ok so this is what i wanted to know
my basement is cold and damp, would a tank be ok down there? would i need a heater in the winter?
also could i get a couple more sunnys under 6" if i did get a 55g?
thanks

you'll be alright, i would use the heater and keep the temp at 65 dagrees in the winter. and add a fan for fresh air.

thanks.
also i have seen many people with larger tanks on cinder blocks, is this fine if you do not care about the look of it?

It would probably be a good idea to get a layer of styrofoam between the tank and cinder blocks, but otherwise it should be fine on that size tank

Second that. How cold does it get in the basement during winter?
