Last year I bought a 65 Gallon for my office. I currently have a Front in it along with a Peacock.

So What would be a good choice if I switched to CA/SA's? It's a 3' tank so options are limited. Would you do a single fish or try to go for smaller ca/sa's?

PS - The reason I am thinking about getting rid of these fish is because the Front does nothing but hide all day long and it's just too boring for my tastes. Great looking fish but not nearly as interactive as my CA/sa's.

A breeding pair of Salvini, GTs, JDs, Firemouths, Acaras, etc. would be pretty cool since these cichlids are all rather colourful. If you want more fish you could try an all-male community of Firemouths, Convicts, Salvini, and a few other smaller CAs (SAs are too mild and would get owned). For SAs you could have a Discus and/or Angelfish planted community.

a nice pair of sevs would be a great choise !!!!

or you could do a group of sajica or something similar.

I like the Salvini Idea But I would not go all males...go females instead, they have by far the best color for that species

hmmm Severums might be a great idea for this size tank. What are the best looks Sevs in your opinions?

Females would still lay eggs and turn aggressive even in the absence of males. Males look pretty awesome, especially the blue on the flanks.

Really? Wonder why? Interesting

OK get a pair then :D

Ok I'm considering Rotkeil Severums. Maybe get three and hope for a couple males. Would you put anything else in there with them?
