Since my dads been away in hospital ive been considering thinning out my fish and selling a tank or two im not sure though, if i sold one it would be my 4x2x2 my smallest tank which houses my lungfish a plus point would be a reduction electricity costs i could see all my 6foot tank again but a loss would be my lungfish i dont know what to do. Any advice?

If you can afford it then keep it if you need the extra money then sell the tank and fish... you can always replace it later on when you have the money.

The money isnt much of an issue, Im contemplating using it for marines but the lungfish is more interesting than any mariene fish/tank.

If the main reason is to save on electricity I wouldn't shut it down. On that size tank you won't even notice a difference in your bill.

why bother setting up a marine tank with all those other tanks?
unless maybe you start charging people an entrance fee to help with costs!!

just send the tank to me and i will reluctantly tank it of your hands

Think about wether or not you will miss the fish.

I am sorry to hear about your Dad being in the hospital.. i must have missed that thread..is he going to be okay and home soon.. maybe your just feeling little depressed until dad is back.. i would wait and see how you feel later.

I dont really know you, but it seems to me that your dad are really supportive to you and your hobby. I´m sure he rather want you to keep that lungfish than sell it or something. be there for your dad, save some money and buy something nice to him. like a whiskey or something that he can enjoy while he recover. I wish him all luck!
