I want to ad two 3-4" NGT to my tank. My current stock = 2x 5" motoros,
2x 9" Florida Gar, 1x 15" Silver Arowana, and 1x 4-5" NTT. The tank is
72"x28"x24". Does this seem ok?

With only two NGTs, one of them is going to be dominant and the other bullied. It might work, I've kept two together in a 75, but most likely you will have to add more dats in order for it to work. GL ;)

Will the NTT help distribute the bullying or do I need more NGTs?

Everything will be okay. ;)
No conflicts at all, just put pot as caves so the lesser evil NGT can hide if the bully chases him

not worth the risk

best to keep 1 NGT per tank

NTT are passive and will mix with most other tigers

NGT are much more aggressive

Did not work for me in the past. And I had 10 other indo tigers in the same tank. I tried keeping 2, but eventually 1 got beaten up so bad by the other, I had to move one on.
Your call, but very unlikely to work out long term.

What about three or four NGT? Or am I just wasting my breath. I can get a good deal on four of them.

I think you'll need MORE than 5 ngt ngt in a group, before they can live together in same tank.
If I wa to try it, I would start with 7 as the minimum.

Correct. With aggresive fish you need at least 6, with more being better, of similar size or they will slowly single each other out and eventually become 1 dominant speciman.

With your current tank, it wouldn't work permanently with that many, but at the rate NGTs grow, you could make it work for quite a while.

The school methodology isn't guaranteed to work either. It just increases your odds of success exponentially with each fish.

I'd agree with the others who suggested going with 1 NGT.

PS - If there isn't enough room for a minimal territory for the NGTs, having multiple ones may not work if one/some of them are overly aggressive.
