Thinking of a a fluval 405

I am thinking of getting a fluval 405 to replace the dead canister on my 125. It will be sharing filtering duties with a AC110 and 2 smaller (cheaper) HoB filters rated for 250 gph.

What do you guys think?
 
What size tank? I have a 405 and it leaks? So I'm not impressed. I also have a few fx5's and love them. So my opinion if you can swing the extra cash go for a fx5.

Will be going on my 125. Why does your 405 leak? How long have you had it? I'm not sure I can swing the extra $$ for the FX5 as I have a few feelers out on some new fish too. Maybe i will research the FX5 online and look for a better price than my LFS.

Does anyone else have any experiences with the 405?
 
Mine started leaking at the top around the seal (where the top meets the canister part). Only had it 6months. You can get a fx5 off ebay for 200.00 shipped to your door. A fx5 would be better for your 125 anyway.

I have one and have had no problems with it. Here in Australia they (Fluvals) come with a six year warranty which you can't beat I run it on my 55g and I would recommend it.
As for leaks never had a fluval leak but new seals are cheap as chip anyway.
