i have an empty 55, and was thinking of getting into flowerhorns, but i know nothing about these fish, how big do they get, how many can you keep in a 55g, can you keep other fish with them, where do you get them and whats the average cost of one, and also how do you know if you get a good one? any help with these questions or tank setup, water conditions, behavior, would be greatly appreciated

Lots of Pearls

they usually get to be around 10". 12" if youre lucky. you can keep 2 in a 55 divided but will probably need a bigger tank when they get about 8". some people keep parrots with them but it depends on the fish. you can pick up some fry for really cheap but you wont know the outcome of it or you can pay about $100 for a nice and bigger one. if you get a bigger one, look for a large KOK(head), color, body shape(your preference), pearling, flower marking, and fins. but it all depends on what you want
where can you get babies, i havent seen any at the pet store, also do they get along with each other, and with the blood parrots? what do you mean by "divided"
