I was thinking about getting a leopard gecko. I have had herps before and leopard geckos before but I just want to make sure I do it right this time. Last time I got a gecko that wanted to kill me lol. Any tips? I was thinking about keeping it in a 10 for now and maybe a 29 later on. Or is a 10 way too small? I was always told that was the min. Also do they eat baby food or any kinds of veges at all? And one other thing...what are some cool color morphs?

A 10 gallon is fine for a juvi Leopard gecko for about a year or so. I recommend a 20 gallon long for a pair or 1 adult. A 30 gallon long is even better for a pair.

I've never owned a blood thirsty Leo before, so maybe yours was just peeved at the world! Most are pretty laid back, and if you handle them for a few minutes, a couple of days a week, they will become very calm.

As for food, sorry, but they are strict insectivores with an occasional pinkie mouse as a treat when older. Cricket, cockroaches, grasshoppers and mealworms should be part of your leos diet .You also should make sure to dust your geckos food with vitamins.

There are many new and crazy color morphs out there. When I breed them the only colors you really ever saw were normals, high yellows, and Jungles. Here is a site a googled that shows some color morphs.
