well.. i found a good deal on glass..
81"H x 36" wide...
no idea how thick.. but it is "storm door" glass...
how thick should glass be??

they're ten bucks each...

think it could work out???

storm door glass is typically very thin, 3/16" or 1/4" for the nicer ones.....lol

Ya Hap3niz, that is not gonna be a good idea. If your really wanting to build a DIY tank price glass from a glass shop. Dont want to goof and get glass and water all over the house after the time and effort it is going to take to build a DIY tank. that isnt a weekend project.

Definitely too thin and most likely tempered, which means no cutting.

If you can find smaller pieces or untempered (so that you can cut it) you could build a sump with it.
