I will be moving my 150gal to another room in the house (wife hates it in the living room) in about 2 months; I was thinking of changing the gravel in my tank to sand. I know about how sand can cloud the water and how if you dont stir it up once in a while it can lead to fungus growth or such. Now I dont want to do it in sections because I had the unfortunate luck of purchasing live plants and have lil tiny worms they wiggle around look like little sperms lol introduced in my tank and now I cant get rid of them and only show when I siphon the gravel. my questions is what type of sand should I use, and how in gods name do I get rid of those worms..:nilly:

by the way its SA CA tank..

I'm not sure about your worm issue, but you can get all types of sand. I generally use pool filter sand that I buy from Leslies Pool Supply. I like it because you can vac it very thoroughly and not have to worry about sucking too much of it up.
