guys, im thinking of getting a flowerhorn but im really new to the species. what variety should i get, i mean are there really established varieties? coz my experience in the hobby is mostly on arowanas and the varieties there are more or less clear cut. and how should i do the set-up?

Yes, there are established variaties such as kamfa, kamalao, Zhen Zhou ( Red Dragon , Blue Dragon )
I recomend Zhen Zhou Strains a good place to get them is aquabid.com.

Be aware, most FH's are very aggressive. They may not mix well in a community, depending on what, if anything, you keep them with.
